WELCOME TO TK GYMFIT 👋

GENERAL POINTERS FOR YOUR VISIT

Viewing is open for all parents/carers – you can view any day/time your child is taking part in gymnastics.

Please note, we do not allow any filming during the sessions.
When you come to pick up your child from our classes, please ensure you come to the back fire door, we will not be letting children under 12 yrs to walk to cars now that it’s dark in the evening.

GYMNASTICS SESSION CHECKLIST
Whether you are returning to us or attending our sessions as a new starter; here are some helpful tips on what to expect when you’re attending gym sessions.
Dress appropriately. Shorts/leggings/joggers and top or leotard. Please no jeans, skirts or anything with zips and buttons.
No jewellery allowed during sessions. Please ensure this is removed/taped up if newly pierced.
Hair tied up and out of the way.
Water bottle with water only.
If you arrive early and travel by car, please wait in your car until time for the session to start (we have a small reception area that gets over crowed if being arrive too early). If you walk or get the bus, feel free to wait upstairs before your lesson starts.

DROP OFF
We operate a one-way system – gymnasts and parents enter via the front door on Harry Street, where a coach will greet you at reception.
Gymnasts take off shoes before getting onto the mats, and put shoes/water in one of the colour wall pouches. Our changing room is not in use, so gymnasts must come dressed and ready for exercise (flip flops or sliders are ideal!).
Gymnasts will wash their hands / hand sanitise and begin to warm up in small groups.

TRAINING
We will move around the gym in a one-way system around the perimeter of the gym.
Classes are 1 hour, but 55 mins, we will hand sanitise and head towards the exit to allow the flow of the next class to start.
There will be a maximum of 40 gymnasts in the gym at any one time. This allows for three times the recommended space per person as advised by the Department of Culture Media and Sport.

COLLECTION
Parents will be asked to collect children by foot from our back door/fire exit. Access for this door is via Harry Street, at the large metal gate before the door to floors car park.
Weather permitting, both doors will be permanently open for ventilation throughout the gym.

In June 2022, TK Gymfit Community Interest Club (CIC) was formed to better support the local community. A CIC will be able to apply for grants which could subsidise fees and obtain access to educational courses for young people (hence the new bank details). If you would like further information regarding how this might help you and your family, please speak to Head Coach Kirsty Thornton, or look on the notice board or the website www.TKGymfit.com
